Description
Hello, everyone who saw my message. I come from Shenzhen, China, but my hometown is in the central part of China. I majored in psychology, but at present my job is related to IT.
I like learning English because it allows me to see another world. I have been learning English for more than 10 years, if you include my study at school. My reading has been very good, I can basically read English professional papers, my oral and listening skills have reached the intermediate level, there is no problem in daily communication, and I can have some abstract discussions on some topics that I am familiar with.
I want to further improve my oral English and listening ability. I want to be fluent in spoken English and have no obstacles in listening.
I like reading and, of course, thinking. The most interesting thing for me is to discuss some problems with some friends. In the discussion, we enlighten each other and make progress together, but it is more important to see the outside world. My reading includes history, philosophy, psychology, fiction, economics. But it's all basic knowledge. I read about 50 books every year. I spend some time on the one hand, and on the other hand, I read faster.
My other hobbies are running, playing badminton, and other light sports. Needless to say, I like the delicious scenery, too. And movies, I like American TV dramas very much, and I also watch some British TV dramas. Now I am watching Rick and Morty, and I like it very much.
I graduated from a normal university and have worked as a teacher for 3 years, so I know how to teach. For learning Mandarin, I think it is very helpful to be able to explain complex concepts in common language. This is more conducive to the understanding of unfamiliar concepts than directly telling each other what it means. In other words, it is much better to understand Chinese concepts with Chinese thinking than to understand Chinese concepts with English thinking.
My ideas are relatively open, especially, my political ideas are very open. As a Chinese, I am not a nationalist.
Of course, I have read a lot of Chinese history, which is very important to understand Chinese culture. If the culture you are talking about is not just a habit, the historical factors behind it are also important. Of course, cultural issues also involve psychological issues.
My ideal is to be proficient in English, and then I can make use of the language advantage to learn more, go to more places and know more people.
Generally speaking, I think it is a happy thing to communicate, especially to discuss some topics of interest. But we don't have to be so serious every time.
If you want to talk to me, please contact me.
