Language.Exchange

I'm retired and with 4 grandchildren, family takes up part of my life, as well as some voluntary work with people new to England who want to read English better. I'm comfortable with French and was learning Spanish until one of my daughters married an Italian - so now I'm studying Italian! The photo was taken on my first day at a language school in Bologna, where I spent two weeks in early 2018, so I'm looking nervous. Bologna was icy cold during my stay but I loved it.
My level is around Intermediate. My reading is much better than my spoken Italian - my accent is not bad and I love to read Italian aloud for pleasure, but I lose vocabulary and fluency if I don't use it for a few months. So I need someone to talk with regularly. I'm a good listener and am interested in literature, music, opera, food, landscape and the history of places.
I had two online Italian pals during lockdown (we tried to entertain each other), but afterwards both went back to work and their lives got busier. I can pair with someone of any age, as long as our interests and cultural understanding is not too far apart.
