Hi! My name is Anya. Currently living in Worcester, MA. A native Russian speaker from Saint-Petersburg.
Work in a gamedev industry as a narrative game designer.
I used to work in documentary filmmaking, focusing on themes such as expeditions, the Arctic, women, and coastal life, but currently, I'm on a break as my job consumes a lot of my time. I would enjoy connecting with someone passionate about screenwriting or directing.
In my free time, I love watching true crime and reading about unusual professions. When I'm not in the mood for true crime, I watch nature documentaries (recently watched one about sparrows—amazing birds!).
I'm also trying to learn about North American birds and am a beginner birdwatcher who has just hung a feeder outside the window.
I can engage in conversation on almost any topic, but discussing children or sports would be challenging, as they are not part of my life.

I attend The Worcester Language Exchange at The Granary every other Friday (next one 8th March) 17.30-19.30 GMT at The Granary, off City Walls Road, WR1 2DA. It's in between Costa and Asda.
I started on the French table and now am learning Spanish on the Spanish table. Anyone can come. Bring and share food and drink (alcohol is allowed) if you like, bring games, maps, books, music etc. Just sit and chat with the group who will have varying levels from beginner to native speaker. Regularly every week are French, Spanish, German, Italian, English as a foreign language. Sometimes Ukranian and Welsh, BSL and more. Some people are looking for Arabic. We have some individuals who speak varying levels of Polish, Japanese, Russian and Farsi (and probably a few more)!
