Hi, my name is Joel Bean- I am an English/German (and on occasion Spanish) teacher and former musician from the USA, currently living in Warsaw. I am extremely passionate about languages/culture and how it can help us to develop a much wider understanding of every aspect of life and help to build meaningful relationships with other people. With this in mind, my goal is to be able to take in the culture, language, and perspective of others with an open and curious mind, and to also be able to teach and share my own culture, language, and experience through history, music, philosophy, and other disciplines. I want to be able to foster a sense of "cultural counterpoint"; that is, the ability to see the same basic object via several lenses at once, something which can be a direct outcome of the language learning process. If this sounds good to anybody, and you would like to become a friend, please don't hesitate to reach out- I would especially be happy to meet anybody in person!
I really love Steve Kaufmann and his respective methods in particular, and I would love to find others who share a similar enthusiasm for languages and in particular enjoy the process of learning. There are also several other polyglots/language enthusiasts whom I enjoy and I will be happy to name as well :)
My German is at a C2 level, my Spanish is just right below, my Portuguese somewhere just under that, and my Ukrainian and Polish are somewhere in the middle (chcę zdać egzamin języka polskiego na poziomie B2 w ciągu najbliższych trzech lat)
Met het Nederlands ben ik nog en beginner, maar ik find deze taal eekt leuk (i gemakkelijk) ook ik will een dag uit Polen naar Nederland verhuizen :)
I would, in any case, like to refine all of the aforementioned languages to an extremely high level (with the goal of at some point being able to pass an advanced exam for all of those )
Cheers!

Hi, I am Ian and I'm interested in learning Japanese. I started shortly before New Years 2024 and I've been learning everyday since then. My hobbies are a bit nerdy. I program (Also as a job), play video games and watch anime. I also want to get into making music although that needs to wait a bit since taking another hobby might take too much time. I am a native Swiss person so the language I can offer is standard German. Swiss German should also be possible if you are interested. I also use English as much as German so that is a language I can offer too.
I'd love to be your friend!

안녕하세요? 저는 요요입니다 :)
I’m just starting to learn Korean, but I’m very motivated. I’m a university student majoring in Business Psychology, and I will do an exchange semester in Korea.
I enjoy learning about other cultures and trying new things. I like watching K-dramas (my favorite is Lovely Runner, sometimes a bit of cliché is needed in life), but right now I’m more into C-dramas.
I’m looking for someone to practice Korean with. I can help you with German, but I probably won’t be able to explain most grammar (most Germans can’t 😅).
I’m still a beginner, so I might make mistakes, but I’m trying my best :)

Hola! My name is Greta and I am 18 years old. I was born in Germany but moved to Australia when I was 4 years old so I speak both German and English fluently. I am taking a gap year since I just graduated high school and am living here in Valencia from until November. I arrived in March and so am only at an A1 level, so please have patience since I still make many mistakes haha :) I love chatting about different lifestyles, cultures and hobbies. I would love to meet new people whilst improving both of our language abilities. Feel free to reach out!
